The Hydro Power Station Inspection consists of the following:

• Thrust Bearing Inspection
• Penstock Inspection of weld’s
• Turbine floor components
• Bolt ultrasonic inspections

• Lubrication sampling
- Rotor Shaft
NDT: Ultrasonic inspection and Magnetic Particle evaluations .
Mechanical inspection: Alignment and bearing inspection.
- Bearing Inspection
NDT: Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic particle evaluation as well as ultrasonic evaluation for white metal damage and seperation
- Penstock Inspection
NDT: In-situ testing of Penstock internally and external if necessary with means of Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic evaluations and wall thickness survey
- Bolt Inspection
NDT: Magnetic particle or Ultrasonic inspection
- Oil Analysis
NDT: Extraction of oil samples from gear boxes and testing for wear and metal content as well as other contamination that affects optimal running of rotating equipment.
- Electrical Rectification Survey
Using latest IR camera’s thermal imaging survey is done on electrical equipment and rectification in order to determine hot spots or faults
